TELLTALE.

It's a very simple story.

Until she was 18, she didn't know anything about feathers. She didn't know the weight of a plumage, the point of a beak. She didn't know.

Why she was the one to be chosen by him, she can only guess and she doesn't. She doesn't guess and she doesn't care. Like she doesn't know how old she is anymore. It's been countless days and countless nights since he turned her into the creature she's become. Half-bird, half-woman.

She was someone's princess once, now she's a queen of swans.

During the day, she's found a park to call home. There's a lake and other swans to dull her loneliness, most of them enchanted girls like herself, a few of them real birds, but they don't discriminate. You'd be surprised how many swans shed their feathers and lose their wings at night. Led by Odette, they leave the park in flocks once the moon touches upon the waters, slipping into the city's nightlife unseen apart from their collective beauty and their searching air.

He promised her that if she could find someone to love her faithfully, she'd be free, but where do you find faithfulness nowadays? In this world.

Still she dances to the same beat of her heart until the clubs and the bars close at dawn, when she must return to the lakeside and to her feathers, to her beak and to her webbed feet.

Who, who, who, it asks, her human heart. You, you, you?
